THE SONG 'BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE' ON SUPERHEAVY, A GROUP WITH MICK JAGGER, FEATURES KEYBOARDIST BART RODERICK FROM YAKIMA, WA.

HE'S THE BROTHER OF AN OLD FRIEND OF MINE WHO I DROPPED IN ON THE OTHER DAY. WHEN THE CONVERSATION GOT AROUND TO BART, DAVID SAID, "DID YOU HEAR BART'S IN THE ROLLING STONES NOW?" I think bart teaches school in a neighboring town to yakima. I THOUGHT I'D THEN HEAR A STORY ABOUT A BUNCH OF OLD FARTS WHO 'CALL THEMSELVES' THE STONES. I WAS WRONG.

THE wAY DAVID TELLS THE TALE,

PAUL ALLEN (SEATTLE EXPERIENCE MUSIC PROJECT) HEARD ABOUT BART'S TALENT ON THE KEYBOARDS [HE IS VERY ACCOMPLISHED], AND I THINK MET HIM IN SEATTLE AND JAMMED SOME WITH HIM, IF I REMEMBER DAVE'S VERSION RIGHT. THEN, LATER, PAUL CALLED BART AND ASKED HIM TO JOIN HIM ON HIS YACHT, WHICH HE WAS THEN MOORING OFF THE COAST OF ITALY. APPARENTLY BART (KEYBOARDS), PAUL ALLEN (GUITAR), AND A THIRD FELLOW (BASS, I BELIEVE)..(I APOLOGIZE IF I GOT ANY FACTS WRONG BUT THIS IS THE WAY I HEARD IT)... WERE THE ENTERTAINMENT FOR PAUL'S GUESTS.
I CAN ONLY IMAGINE THE TYPES OF PEOPLE ENJOYING THE PARTY, WINE GLASSES IN HAND. A LATE ARRIVAL WAS INTRODUCED TO BART, AND I GUESS THEY HIT IT OFF. THIS LATE ARRIVAL SHARED WITH BART HIS FRUSTRATION WITH A TUNE HE'D BEEN WORKING ON--FINDING A BRIDGE BETWEEN TWO PARTS, I BELIEVE... OH! DID I TELL YOU IT WAS MICk JAGGER?..SORRY, IT WAS.... WHEREUPON BART (AS DAVE TELLS IT) SAID, "WHAT ABOUT THIS?..." AND RAN HIS FINGERS OVER THE IVORIES.
IN SHORT, MICK WAS IMPRESSED. HE BROUGHT BART TO ABBEY ROAD , as dave told me [he might've been wrong about that detail], but on record the album was recorded at jim henson recording studios TO RECORD, WHAT I BELIEVE IS THIS SONG : BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE.
